Enlightening ourselves to Learn and Know the 94 Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
A project through Advent 2019 through to Easter 2021 working with the book: "Watershed Discipleship" edited by Ched Myers. Journeying through the Anglican Documentary: "Stolen Lands: Strong Hearts" and considering the work that is needed for all who reside on the unceded territories where we live, work, worship, and play.
This work was begun during a Spirituality Beyond Borders Program. When Covid-19 Pandemic Restrictions came into effect in March of 2020, the work continued with zoom meetings and discussions and the physical completion of the strands were completed by Colleen Day and over the course of this past year, each strand was added to complete the work. It is currently behind the altar where our St. Edmund's Services are being streamed online.
This work is a work of heart, of humble awareness of our own and our corporate responsibility to acknowledge and do the work of learning and understanding so that we may choose with full awareness, our call to work for reconciliation.
It will be exciting when we can gather in person and people can experience this art. Today we are excited to share it through our website. Please click on the document below to see the project pdf.
