Alli's Advent Calendar

A couple of months ago, our student Alli Poole came up with the brilliant idea of making a digital Advent Calendar of Christmas and Advent songs for all of you this holiday season.

Advent has always been special to Alli and her sister as their granny Dianne Snider, our wonderful former administrator and program associate of many years, began making homemade Advent Calendars each year for the girls. Equipped with a clue and a present for each day of Advent, Dianne started an incredible tradition for her granddaughters when they still were living in Banff and she was not able to make it for Christmas one year.

Little did she know that the tradition would stick and her two granddaughters starting looking forward to 24 presents each day leading up to Christmas. As Alli will be moving on from us to start her new life as an acting student at Vancouver Film School, she wanted to create this project as a farewell gift for her time here spent at One Open Circle and in honour of Dianne's generosity. For each day of Advent, we will have a youtube link for your viewing pleasure! All days of advent can be found on our website in events/calendar and on our One Open Circle Youtube Channel.

Alli wants to thank each and every one of your for you kindness, love, and support over the last 18 months of her time here and she hopes that you all enjoy this gift from us.
